This annual award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated and achieved excellence in mine safety. Examples of achievements include:
  • Reporting a near-miss
  • Helped develop a new safety procedure
  • Leadership/teamwork
  • Safety performance

    submission guidelines & award

  • Recognizing employees of MMSA members
  • May submit for multiple current employees
  • Submissions must be received by December 1st
  • Submissions will be reviewed and voted on by the board
  • Award will be presented at the start-up seminars
  • Recipient will be invited to the seminar, fee waived, and receive a plaque
